Otto Pippel (1878-1960) was a distinguished German Impressionist painter known for his vibrant landscapes, cityscapes, and depictions of domestic life. Born in Lódz, Poland, Pippel later moved to Germany, where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe under the guidance of landscape painter Gustav Schönleber. He further honed his skills at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, a pivotal center for art in Germany during that period.
Pippel’s works are characterized by their luminous quality and dynamic brushwork, reflecting the influence of French Impressionism.
