Toni Stadler d. J. (1888-1982) was a renowned German sculptor and one of the leading figures in 20th-century European sculpture. Born in Munich, he was the son of the painter Toni Stadler d. Ä. Stadler d. J. initially studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich but soon found his true calling in sculpture. His artistic journey was profoundly influenced by his exposure to classical sculpture and his studies in Paris, where he was inspired by the works of Auguste Rodin and Aristide Maillol.
