Friedrich Voltz (1817-1886) was a prominent German painter known for his landscapes and animal paintings, particularly those depicting pastoral scenes with cattle. Born in Nördlingen, Bavaria, Voltz displayed an early aptitude for art, which led him to study at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. His early works were influenced by the Dutch Masters, whose detailed and realistic portrayals of nature left a lasting impression on him.
