About the artist
Toni Stadler d. J. (1888-1982) was a renowned German sculptor and one of the leading figures in 20th-century European sculpture. Born in Munich, he was the son of the painter Toni Stadler d. Ä. Stadler d. J. initially studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich but soon found his true calling in sculpture.
